A large Honey Boat type with extremely thick flesh & delicious rich flavour. Most delicata have a honey sweet flavour or even a maple flavour, Candystick has a richer date-like flavour that is truly addictive. Fruits are tan skinned with green stripes. Produces both short loaf shapes & long boat shapes. The fruit shape variability is desirable in this instance for genetic diversity & contributes to some added vigor. They keep very well & retain their sweetness better than other squash well into storage. Candystick was selected for a small seed cavity yielding more food per squash.
