Corn Sweet Ashworth - Organic

3441 - Ashworth Yellow Sweet Corn. 72 days.
Open-pollinated. A composite of early varieties originally developed by the late Fred Ashworth of St. Lawrence Nurseries and marketed by Johnny's Selected Seeds starting in 1978. Its short (about 5') stalks have 6-ì7" yellow 12-row ears with good flavour. Be sure to harvest it at peak milk stage‚ like much open-pollinated corn it does not hold quality for long in the field. Germinates well in cool soil.
