5685 - Early Hanover. One of the earliest muskmelons. Introduced in 1895 by T. W. Woods & Sons of Richmond, Virginia. Reportedly attained immense popularity in that region. Sweet, soft, juicy flesh can be eaten right down to the rind. Produces large quantities of 2-3 pound melons, 5" long by 6" diameter. 70-85 days.
