One of the best melons for northern climates, it is sweet, early and productive, 5-8 lb fruits. Yellow fleshed with a thin rind. Direct seed in rows 4-6 ft apart. Grow in hills with 3-4 plants/hill. Harvesting tips: ripe when the second tendril closest to the fruit withers and turns brown and melon sounds hollow when tapped.
