Amaranth is a heat-loving annual. Sow 12-15 seeds per foot in 70˚F/21˚C soil. Planting depth is 0.25". Thin to 6‚" apart. Harvest individual leaves and pinch off terminal buds to encourage branching and leaf development. Seeds can also be harvested and either ground for flour or used whole popped or in bread.
