Purple Peacock Broccoli - Organic

Young leaves are salad-rate, and mature leaves are as sweet as any lightly steamed kale. Floret stems erupt first as loose heads of broccoli, followed by prodigious side shoots. These are sweet and non-biting as raw "dippers" and salad additions. Transplants can be started in April for May planting. Transplant after 4-6 weeks.. Direct seed in late spring, as seedlings can tolerate a light frost. Broccoli can be direct seeded up until mid-late June for a continuous harvest.
