Red Shiso

6690 - Red Shiso. 60 days if leaves are to be used; 40 days if shoots are to be used.
A Japanese red variety. Very vigorous and productive. The plant is approximately 70 cm in height with purple leaves. Great flavour. For best germination, seed should be stored in the freezer until planting. Sow directly into 2in./5 cm peat pots 8 weeks before your last spring frost. Seed should be pressed into the soil but not covered (needs light to sprout)
