5212 - Rossa Di Milano 110-120 days Very attractive, glossy, red Italian 8-10 cm onion with medium-hot flavor. A long intermediate day type tolerant of cool climates. Very uniform shape. Excellent keeper. Can be direct-seeded or transplanted, where transplanting is recommended for shorter growing seasons and sweet onions. Optimal soil germination temperature is 23-29ºC. For transplanting, sow indoors 8-12 weeks before last frost date. Transplant 8-12 cm, after all danger of hard frost has passed.
