Delicate, mild flavour is delicious raw or in a stir-fry. This attractive and prolific miniature vegetable forms flattened, dense rosettes of dark-green leaves that can be harvested even after snowfall. Sow in the fall for biggest and best plants. Plant in spring or late summer/fall. Sow thinly, 1-2 seeds per inch, in rows 8-10 inches apart. Thin plants when they have four true leaves. Can also be started indoors and transplanted into garden 4-6 weeks later. Harvesting tips. Side leaves can be harvested to prolong the harvest. Cut entire head when mature.
