Short Mexican Sunflower

7021 - Short Mexican Sunflower - 85 Days.  Short version of the Mexican sunflower at 30" tall. 3 1/2" wide flowers on strong branching plants with velvety dark green leaves. Blooms midsummer to frost. Loves hot dry sites.

Sow indoors, directly into 3 in/8 cm peat pots, Apr. 1st - Apr. 15th @ 3 seeds per pot. Germinate at 70˚F/21˚C soil temperature. Plant seed 0.25 in/6 mm deep, cover seed with fine soil and firm. Seed should germinate in about 10 days. Transplant pots outdoors about the end of May, when outdoor temperatures remain above 50˚F/10˚C
