Blue Icicle

This is a new variety and we're proud to say this is one of the many varieties bred by our namesake, Greta Kryger.

The Blue Icicle Dwarf is a compact, multi-branched plant that bears an abundance of blue paste-style fruits.

Developing this variety to its stable state took seven years of careful breeding and selection. These remarkable fruits undergo a colour transformation going from an initial dark blue to a growing red blossoming from the tip. Another notable feature of this variety is its ability to continue producing late into the growing season, ensuring a prolonged harvest of tomatoes that keep well once picked. The Blue Icicle plant  matures relatively quickly, going from transplant to full maturity in just 60 days.
